I never talk about my past (unless it's something positive about childhood). If I share something personal it revolves around my pets, physical activities or that I like art. 🎨 (I never talk politics or other negatively loaded subjects).

I never stay more than three years at a job. Employers are idiots, for the most part. They don’t know what they’re doing or they’re doing the wrong things and don’t care. The work model for the last 50 years is corrupt, inefficient, and abusive.

Some of these were happening to me, extra work, help co worker who was falling behind. Told I had a bad attitude Co workers use me as their therapist. So I quit without notice. Although Supervisor was lecturing me for being frustrated, I told him I'm sorry I quit. And I wrote HR a letter as to why I quit without notice What do I tell new employer? Oh new employees making 22.00 an hour while the rest of us were at 18 to 19. And we had to do the training too

My best friend was once a co-worker but our friendship is definitely an exception to the rule, and we became close when both of us were no longer with the company. I learned the hard way that co-workers are NOT your friends, no matter what you want to believe.

I got fired for refusing to complete inaccurate, therefore unlawful, medical recoreds. "At Will" employment makes criminals of employees because you will loose your ability TO NOT BECOME HOMELESS (exactly what happened to me 😢) if you dont xommit fraud. It Is the BIGGEST crock of doodoo I have ever heard of. I had to give up my apartment of 7 years and ended up living in my car, and then stress and dissociation caused me to have a wreck because I was in my head too much. Now Im living with strangers (thankful to not be on the streets) and praying to find employment without transportation (relying on others for rides). 😢😢😢. They dobt care how much trauma they cause. That's evil.

Happened to me recently. I was an overachiever from day one, always doing my job perfectly and on time. I was promoted to a role I did not want but they clearly needed someone like me there. Still, I was told by my supervisor and boss that eventually I would be promoted again to a higher role I was very interested in. I kept going above and beyond at the expense of my health, at one point I was doing 3 people's jobs in one. But I kept being patient, thinking I had to "pay my dues" and work myself from the bottom to the top with hard work. Well, one day my lazy coworker who is very careless got the promotion I had been striving for. She was literally promoted over me, even though her quality of work is mediocre. That was the last straw for me. I quit and got a higher paying job in a less stressful environment. I learned my lesson the hard way for sure, but now I know it's just a job and you don't need to "prove" yourself or anything. Just do the bare minimum and whenever needed do more to make a statement and that's it. But for sure, being promoted is not always a good thing unless you want to have that added experience and job title from when you job hunt again.

I'm in a toxic workplace being ostracized by my colleagues and all of the upper management team. Tense work environment because they ignore me and are rude to me all because I'm not there to make friends and refuse to tell people my personal business. I guess i don't fit into the click. My question is, since they clearly have a issue with me and don't like me and treat me like CRAP. Why do they keep me here, they could just get rid of me.

There is strength in having a support group. But if you’re able to heal yourself as an individual (alone), guess what you might have stumbled across a huge power. You can be your own boss. If you can heal yourself: you can be your own boss. You will learn all of the other business related stuff easily… Sometimes their is opportunity amongst the chaos. Never give up. You’ll find a better fit, or you will become IT for yourself.

How does one quit a position they never consented to in the first place, wasn't paid the minimum, the "workplace" was made toxic, are owed backpay and whenever you've left they follow you? A question worth asking. Maybe to a lawyer.
